How do retrieve pics off my old laptops hd.?
The lap top doesn’t work because of the power supply some where…however i have a new laptop….with out taking it any where is their some way i can hook it up to my other lap top and copy all the pics?
You can take out the hard drive from the broken Computer and slide it into a hard drive enclosure at an affordable price. It then connects to your existing computer via USB and it kind of functions like a thumb drive. You’ll need to take ownership of the hard drive. Once you find the correct HD enclosure (like if you need a SATA, etc), the rest of the process is pretty easy (plug and play, really), with a few extra searches online using your model number as a keyword.
Just a tip: remove your existing HD before buying the enclosure (it also helps if you take it with you when buying the enclosure). You might find that many models have certain types of HD, but your has a completely different one. The type is usually printed right on the HD.
