laptop sound problem…?
My laptop is one of the Latest Sony ones which uses Windows 7 and internet explorer. Yesterday i decided to turn the sound for the internet on mute for the moment as it was becoming distracting. I did this the usual way: control panel, hardware and sound. There were three bars with control sounds, one for Speaker HP, one for system sound and one for the internet. When i wanted the sound back i went back to control panel and into hardware and sounds and onto adjust system volume where the bars were. now only two of them are there – not the internet sound bar. Why? Ive restored the laptop to an eariler date but to no avail. Please please help! I’m very upset – this computer is brand new.
Thanks Arch and Shaun – its deff not the drivers because i did a check for that and it came up with nothing. I also ran anti-virus on it. I think Shaun is prob right…i may have to reinstall the sounds all over again. But im not sure if they didnt already come preinstalled?
Hm I would try re-installing the sound device drivers.. you might of just muted the sound by double clicking.. try right clicking to see if you can renew that third option.
