How to get free internet on my desktop computer?
Well, my internet box got fried over summer, so I had to go w/o internet for a while…three months ago, I got a mini Gateway laptop through Verizon Wireless, but it’s internet sucks. If you are on too long, or download ANYTHING, it sucks up megabytes, causing the bill to rise.
So I’m wondering…is there a way to get FREE internet on my desktop computer without an internet box? JUST with a phone cord, and nothing else? No downloads?

It’s an XP, by the way.
If there is a wifi signal in your house from your neighbor, go ask them if you can use there internet. and ask for the password
