Need an advice on Retail Computer Business?
Since December is near I am planning to open a retail computer business (Both In-Store & Online). My supplier can provide me with Refurbished Laptops, Desktops and Towers with Pentium 4 technology in Desktops& Towers and Intel Centrino Mobile technology in laptops.
My prices are extremely cheap but my business depends on mostly out dated technology. Is it worth while investing money in Refurbished business or should I invest in purchase of New Laptops/Refurbished with New Technology. The latest technology I am getting is Intel Core2Duo laptop in Dell Latitude D620 and as per my survey this particular laptop didn’t do well in the market.
Moreover my main market is USA and Canada.
And as Christmas is near what would you guys prefer to gift in computer technology to your loved ones?
Also what kind of standard warranty you guys would like to get on Refurbished units.
Your input will be highly beneficial for me.
Thanks in advance
Used to have a computer store myself. If you are only selling older, out-dated technology you will starve. Closed my store about 7 years ago and the older equipment I was selling is still in storage. People only want new. Only, only, only, only. The only buyers for older, outdated equipment is places like schools and they can only buy from their school board’s list of vendors.
