If the motherboard on my laptop PC is shot can my docs/music/photos be transferred to a new Mac laptop?
Well I took my HP Compaq laptop to a computer repair guy because the computer would not charge or turn on. He told me that my motherboard was shot. I’ve been thinking about switching over to a Mac and was wondering if I bought a new Macbook if my documents, pictures, and music could be transferred to the new computer. Mac says they can transfer your info to a new computer but can this be done with a broken motherboard?
Yes, the motherboard does not affect the contents of your hard drive… However your documents and music and such because you are running on Windows may not be compatible with the mac OS…. You also need to make sure that the hard drives are the same or that you buy a USB drive to transfer stuff from the PC to the Mac….
